Rollback and Undo

Rollback lets users ask Arif to undo supported changes made during a chat session. It is designed for recovery from accidental or unwanted assistant actions.

How Rollback Works

When Arif changes business data, it tracks the action in the session. If the user asks to undo the change, Arif uses that tracking information to reverse supported operations.

Ways to Undo

Users can:

  • Click an undo control when it is available.
  • Ask "undo the last change."
  • Ask "rollback what you just did."
  • Ask Arif to revert a specific recent action when enough context is available.

What Can Be Reversed

Rollback works best for changes inside Qriib records, such as creates, updates, submits, cancels, or deletes where a safe reversal can be built.

Some actions may not be fully reversible:

  • Messages already sent to an external system.
  • Files delivered outside Qriib.
  • Changes that were manually edited after Arif made them.
  • Business workflows where reversal would violate current permissions or validation rules.

Reviewing Rollback Results

After rollback, Arif reports what was reversed and whether any step failed. Users should review the affected records when the change was important.
