What is Arif?
Arif is Qriib's governed AI assistant. In Qriib Business, it helps users ask questions, work with permitted records, prepare plans, use approved tools, and complete governed workflows. In Qriib documentation, it helps users understand product capabilities with source-backed answers.
Do I need technical knowledge to use Arif?
No. Arif is designed for business users. You can describe what you want in natural language, and Arif will ask for missing details when needed.
What can I ask Arif to do?
You can ask Arif to:
- Search and summarize permitted business records.
- Explain a process or policy.
- Draft comments, replies, plans, and follow-up tasks.
- Prepare files or PDFs.
- Help with setup and data cleanup.
- Use approved connectors such as Drive, Helpdesk, knowledge sources, communication tools, or project systems.
- Create or change records when you have permission and policy allows it.
Is my data safe?
Arif follows Qriib permissions and organization safety policy. Sensitive actions can require approval before they run, and supported changes can be rolled back.

How do I open the chat?
Open Arif from Qriib Business, or use the page companion when it is available in your workspace.
Can I attach files?
Yes. Arif supports common spreadsheet, document, text, PDF, image, JSON, and Markdown attachments. File availability and limits depend on organization settings.
Can I use voice?
Yes, when voice is enabled. Arif can transcribe spoken input through the configured browser or provider workflow.
Are my conversations saved?
Yes. Chat sessions can be resumed later when your organization has enabled session history. Users can also star, rename, delete, and export sessions when those controls are available.
What is Plan mode?
Plan mode tells Arif to inspect context and prepare a reviewable plan before executing changes. Use it for setup, bulk work, data cleanup, or sensitive operational tasks.
Approvals and Tools
Do tools execute immediately?
Not always. Read-only actions may run directly. Actions that can change data pass through permissions and safety policy. Policy can allow, block, or ask for approval.
Can I see what tools are available?
You can ask Arif what it can help with. The exact capabilities depend on your permissions, enabled modules, plan, and approved connectors.
What happens when a tool fails?
Arif should explain the failure and, when appropriate, retry with corrected details. For partial completion, you can decide whether to continue, stop, or undo supported changes.
Can I undo an Arif action?
Often, yes. Ask Arif to undo or rollback the recent change. Some external side effects, such as messages already sent, may not be fully reversible.
Integrations
What is MCP?
MCP is a protocol that can connect Arif to approved tools and context sources. Users do not need to understand MCP to use Arif; administrators manage connector availability.
Does Arif work with Qriib Drive?
Yes, when Drive is enabled and connected. Arif can help list, create, move, generate, or delete files depending on permissions and safety policy.
Does Arif work with Helpdesk?
Yes, when helpdesk capabilities are enabled. Arif can summarize tickets, draft replies, find related knowledge, and help coordinate follow-up work.
Can Arif use organization knowledge?
Yes. Approved knowledge sources can ground answers with policies, examples, setup notes, and process guidance.
Troubleshooting
The chat is not appearing
Confirm that you are signed in and that Arif is enabled for your organization and account. If it still does not appear, contact your administrator.
Arif says a feature is unavailable
The feature may require a connector, module, plan, or administrator review. Ask your administrator whether the capability is enabled for your role.
Arif says I do not have permission
Arif follows your Qriib permissions. Ask an administrator to review your access if you believe you should be allowed to perform the action.
Arif says usage or credits are exhausted
Your organization may have a usage, trial, or subscription limit. Contact an administrator or billing owner for next steps.
