Chat Assistant
The Arif chat assistant is the main workspace for asking questions and completing work in Qriib Business. It supports ongoing sessions, streaming responses, tool progress, approvals, attachments, voice input, and undo for supported changes.
What You Can Do
Ask in Natural Language
Describe the business result you want:
- "Show overdue customer invoices."
- "Create a customer for ACME with this billing email."
- "Draft a plan for cleaning duplicate suppliers."
- "Undo what you changed in the last step."
Arif answers in the user's language and can work with English or Arabic prompts.
Work With Session Context
Each chat session keeps its own history and task state. You can start new chats, switch sessions, star important sessions, rename them, delete them, and export transcripts when available.
Use Page Context
When Arif is opened from a record or page, it can receive safe page context so the assistant understands what you are looking at. This helps with requests such as explaining a record, drafting a comment, or checking the next action.
Attach Files
Users can attach supported documents, spreadsheets, text files, PDFs, and images. Arif can use those files as context for analysis, extraction, import preparation, or document generation.
Supported attachment types include CSV, XLS, XLSX, PDF, PNG, JPG, JPEG, JSON, TXT, DOCX, and Markdown. Individual files are limited to 10 MB, with a 50 MB total attachment limit per message.
Use Voice
When voice is enabled, users can speak a message into Arif. Depending on the organization setup, transcription may use browser speech support or an approved speech-to-text provider.
Streaming and Progress
Arif streams responses as the model works and shows progress for tool calls. During longer tasks, the chat can display:
- Current running status.
- Tool steps and results.
- Approval requests.
- Generated files or business changes.
- Rollback options for supported changes.
Conversation Flow
Best Practices
- Be specific about names, dates, companies, amounts, and the result you expect.
- Use Plan mode before broad or sensitive changes.
- Review approval cards before confirming.
- Ask follow-up questions in the same session when the context is still relevant.
