Knowledge Grounding

Arif can use approved knowledge sources to answer questions and make better decisions. This is often called retrieval-augmented generation, or RAG.

What Knowledge Grounding Adds

Knowledge grounding helps Arif use:

  • Organization policies.
  • Setup examples.
  • Business rules.
  • Process notes.
  • Prior proven workflows.
  • Knowledge base articles.
  • Relevant document content.

Retrieved knowledge supports the answer, but it does not override user instructions, Qriib permissions, or safety policy.

How It Helps

  • Answers are more specific to the organization.
  • Arif can cite source context when knowledge influences an answer.
  • Setup and process questions can use approved internal examples.
  • The assistant can identify relevant business areas even when the user's wording is broad.

User Guidance

  • Ask specific questions when you need source-backed answers.
  • Mention the policy, workflow, or business area you care about.
  • Use attachments when the knowledge is in a file that is not yet part of the knowledge base.
  • Treat retrieved knowledge as assistance, not final approval for sensitive actions.
